Greater Pittsburgh WCC Award for Encouraging Diversity in STEM |
This award recognizes significant accomplishments by individuals, male or female, who have stimulated or fostered the interest of a diverse population, promoting their professional developments within various STEM fields. Nominees for the award may come from any professional setting in the greater Pittsburgh area: academia, industry, government, clinical, or other independent facility. Nominees need not be a member of the WCC or the ACS. |

Greater Pittsburgh WCC Award for Career Excellence in the Chemical Sciences |
This award recognizes the achievements of female chemists and chemical engineers in the greater Pittsburgh area who have a record of accomplishment in their field. Nominees for the award may come from any professional setting in the greater Pittsburgh area: academia, industry, government, clinical, or other independent facility. Nominees need not be a member of the WCC or the ACS. |

ACS Pittsburgh Section Student Travel Grant |
The Pittsburgh Section of the American Chemical Society has budgeted funds to help encourage undergraduate/graduate student participation in national and regional ACS meetings. The awards are intended to help defray meeting registration and travel-related expenses (lodging, transportation, per diem) for eligible students. |
The deadlines for receipt of applications are 06/01 (for travel to be completed by 12/31) and 12/01(for travel to be completed by 06/30). |

Rising Star Award |
This award recognizes exceptional early to mid-career women chemists across all areas who have demonstrated outstanding promise for contributions to their respective fields. To be given annually, beginning in 2012, this new award is also intended to help promote retention of women in science. |

Priscilla Carney Jones Scholarship |
The Priscilla Carney Jones Scholarship was established by Paul R. Jones, in memory of his wife, to provide scholarships for female undergraduate majors in chemistry or related disciplines who are beginning their junior or senior years of study. |

Overcoming Challenges Award |
The Women Chemists Committee of the American Chemical Society established this award to recognize a woman undergraduate from a two-year or four-year institution for her efforts in overcoming hardship to achieve success in chemistry. |

WCC/Eli Lilly Travel Award |
The ACS Women Chemists Committee (WCC) and Eli Lilly and Company sponsor a program to provide funding for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral female chemists to travel to meetings to present the results of their research. Through this program, WCC and Eli Lilly and Company continue to increase the participation of women in the chemical sciences. |
The deadlines for receipt of applications are: February 15th for meetings between July 1st and December 31st AND September 15th for meeting between January 1st and June 30th |

CIBA/YCC Young Scientist Travel Award |
The ACS Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) and the CIBA Foundation are proud to support the CIBA/YCC Young Scientist Travel Award and the development of younger chemists in the chemical sciences. This award provides funding for young and early-career chemists to travel to and participate in an ACS national or regional meeting. |
Applications for the Fall CIBA/YCC Travel Award will be accepted between March 1st and April 30th of each year. Applications for the Spring CIBA/YCC Travel Award will be accepted between August 1st and September 30th of each year. |
